 Dear Parents,

Just a little note to let you kow that reading daily this summer will be very important for your child's reading transition into second grade.  Reading for at least 15-20 minutes from Monday through Friday will help to maintain your child's present reading level.

Mix and match your child's reading activities to help keep the interest up.  This can be done in some of the following ways:

  - Read to your child

  - Child read to parent

  - Computer

  - Library Visits

  - Scholastic news (sent home)

  - Workbooks

  - Children's magazines
