Once again we will be offering nutritious, low cost lunches for your students. Each day will have a featured entrée along with a choice of fruit and vegetable side dishes and milk for less than the cost of a fast food meal.

 

Every day entrees of:

  • egg salad, tuna sandwich
  • 8 oz fat free yogurt with dinner roll & small salad
  • peanut butter sandwich
  • peanut butter & jelly sandwich
  • soup of the day with crackers
  • chef salad with bread, crackers or diner roll

will be offered as alternatives to the featured entrée.

 

On field trip days a pre-ordered bag lunch with tuna, peanut butter & jelly, bologna, fruit, chips, cookie and juice or milk is offered.

On the first day of school applications for free or reduced lunches will be sent home. Students who qualified for free or reduced lunches in June still have the same status until October 1, 2009.
October 1st they must pay full price for lunch until their status is re-approved. Therefore it is important that the applications are returned at least a day or two before that date so they can be processed before the deadline.

 

Please remember that if your income changes during the year, you may make application for free or reduced lunches at any point during the year.

 

Lunches may be prepaid by the week, month or longer period. If you wish to pay by check, please make it out to SJS cafeteria and include a note naming the child(ren) , number of days (Example: 5 lunches).

 

The menus will be issued once a month. Please post it at home so your child knows his(her) choices for lunch.

  • Lunch with Chocolate or White milk or Apple Juice: $2.00
  • Extra Entrée: $1.00
  • Extra Milk or Juice: $.5
  • Ice Cream: $ .50
  • Bread & Butter Slice, Garlic Bread or Pretzel Rod: $ .15, 2 for $ .25

We ask that if your child charges her(his) lunch or drink, repayment is made within a day or two.
