St. John the Baptist After School Care Program
St. John's School is thrilled to offer a safe and inviting after school care program to support our families. After school care is provided daily on school days, including on half-days. Students are given the opportunity to have a snack, to work on homework, and to have some fun with friends as they play and relax! Arts 'n crafts, story time, outdoor play (weather permitting) and games are some of the favorite activities offered at after school care.

REGISTRATION: $8.00 per child per school year
AFTER SCHOOL SERVICE: ONE CHILD
Daily Rates: $ 8.00 per day 2:00-4:30 p.m.
$12.00 per day 2:00-5:50 p.m.
Half Day Rates: $16.00 per day 11-4:30 p.m. Half Days: child must bring own lunch
$21.00 per day 11-5:50 p.m.
TWO CHILDREN
Daily Rates: $12.00 per day 2:00-4:30 p.m.
$16.00 per day 2:00-5:50 p.m.
Half Day Rates: $22.00 per day 11-4:30 p.m. Half Days: child must bring own lunch
$26.00 per day 11-5:50 p.m.
THREE CHILDREN
Daily Rates: $16.00 per day 2:00-4:30 p.m.
$20.00 per day 2:00-5:50 p.m.
Half Day Rates: $27.00 per day 11-4:30 p.m. Half Days: child must bring own lunch
$32.00 per day 11-5:50 p.m.
* Rates are subject to change yearly based on school year.
PAYMENT: Payments are due on MONDAY of the After School service week. The due date applies whether you are using the service for one day or more. PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED ON MONDAY OF THE SERVICE WEEK in order for participation by your child/children NO EXCEPTIONS! Your payment MUST be accompanied by an After School Care calendar. Late payment will result in a $5 LATE FEE.
SERVICE TIMES: Regular school dismissal, 2:00 – 5:50 p.m. on each day St. John’s School is in session for a full day. After school care will be available on HALF days from 11:00 – 5:50 p.m. However, there are three (3) exceptions pending the hiring of an assistant director. The exception dates are: Wednesday, November 23rd - day before Thanksgiving; Friday, December 11th – Faculty/Staff Christmas Luncheon; and Wednesday, December 23rd - day before Christmas break. There will be NO After School Care days when St. John’s School is not in session. Please write the pickup time for each day on the calendar.
HOLIDAYS: St. John’s After School Care Program is NOT available on school holidays. Please adjust any Monday payments accordingly.
PICK-UP & LATE PICK-UP: Please indicate on the registration form WHO will pick up your child/children. Your child/children MUST be picked up by 5:50 p.m. and they MUST BE SIGNED OUT. There will be a $5 LATE FEE for each and every 5 minutes of tardiness. Chronic offenders may be dismissed from the program.
When your child attends the After School Program, you will use the BELMONT Street door to Klauder Hall to pick up your child. Your child can be found in ROOM 26 across from the cafeteria. If we are not there, we will be in the gym, cafeteria or outside.
If you need to reach the After School Care Program during After School hours, you must call 874-4570, not the school’s number.
CLOTHING & SUPPLIES: Children are encouraged to bring weather appropriate clothing to change into
for the program. Sneakers MUST be worn in order to play in the gym. Children will have the opportunity
for outdoor supervised activities on days when the weather permits. Children will not need any supplies.
All materials will be supplied for them.
HOMEWORK: Children will have the opportunity to do their homework during the After School Care time. While assistance will be given as needed, this does not replace, nor should it be viewed as, private tutoring
or one-on-one assistance that may be needed for extended lengths of time.
SNACK: A snack will be provided for the children each day. We ask that NO OTHER SNACKS be brought
or bought (at lunch time) for the After School Program. Special needs or dislikes of your child should be indicated on the registration form.
PROGRAM: Any student in PreK 4 through Grade 6 is eligible to attend St. John’s After School Program. Students will be supervised in various indoor and outdoor activities (weather permitting). Board games,
video, rest time, quiet time, and story time is also part of this program.
PERSONNEL: Teachers or staff and student assistants will be on duty each day based on enrollment needs.
Mrs. Danielle Planck (PreK 3 teacher) will serve as the program director.
SPECIAL ACTIVITIES: If children are part of any St. John’s activity, they can be dismissed for that activity and then return to the After School Program. Please indicate the activity and time on your weekly calendar.
REGISTRATION FORMS & WEEKLY CALENDARS MAY BE OBTAINED IN THE SCHOOL OFFICE. PLEASE REMEMBER TO REQUEST ONE (1) FORM PER CHILD THAT YOU WANT TO REGISTER.
